Phytohormone targeting in plant tissues
نویسندگان
چکیده
Methods Homogenization and extraction with organic solvents was done in one microcentrifuge tube and accelerated by crushing the plant material in a vibration mill. The extracts from minute amounts of fresh plant material were immediately purified using a solid-phase extraction (C18, C8, OasisTM HLB cartridges)in combination with ion-exchange and/or immunoaffinity purification. A fast chromatography technique, the ultra performance liquid chromatography (Acquity UPLC,Waters) was coupled to triple quadrupole mass spectrometer (Xevo TQ MS, Waters) equipped with an electrospray interface (ESI) and the unique performance of collision cell – ScanWave. The mass spectrometric conditions were optimized for each analyte and quantification was obtained by multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) of precursors and the appropriate product ions.

The role of ABCG-type ABC transporters in phytohormone transport
Plant hormones (phytohormones) integrate endogenous and exogenous signals thus synchronizing plant growth with environmental and developmental changes. Similar to animals, phytohormones have distinct source and target tissues, hence controlled transport and focused targeting are required for their functions. Many evidences accumulated in the last years about the regulation of long-distance and ...
متن کاملUnraveling plant hormone signaling through the use of small molecules
Plants have acquired the capacity to grow continuously and adjust their morphology in response to endogenous and external signals, leading to a high architectural plasticity. The dynamic and differential distribution of phytohormones is an essential factor in these developmental changes. Phytohormone perception is a fast but complex process modulating specific developmental reprogramming. In re...
متن کاملRoot development: new meanings for root canals?
During Arabidopsis root development, a radial pattern of tissues is extended by the meristem. These tissues form continuous layers and recent data suggest that tissue continuity is instrumental for constraining the direction of signaling in a process termed channeling. In the ground tissue, fate-determining signals originate from contiguous cells of the same layer, possibly due to specific symp...
متن کاملA Quantitative Profiling Method of Phytohormones and Other Metabolites Applied to Barley Roots Subjected to Salinity Stress
As integral parts of plant signaling networks, phytohormones are involved in the regulation of plant metabolism and growth under adverse environmental conditions, including salinity. Globally, salinity is one of the most severe abiotic stressors with an estimated 800 million hectares of arable land affected. Roots are the first plant organ to sense salinity in the soil, and are the initial site...

Cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.) is a source of edible oil and fatty acids (FAs). In this study, embryos’ explants were cultured in MS medium with different concentration of plant growth regulators (phytohormones) include BA, IAA, IBA, 2, 4- D and NAA, to finding the relationship of hormone and organogenesis with oil and FAs content. Oil was extracted with chloroform and methanol. FAs o...
